Ostrow Wielkopolski is a city located in western Poland, in the Greater Poland Voivodeship. It has a population of around 71,000 inhabitants and covers an area of approximately 29 square miles.
The origins of Ostrow Wielkopolski dates back to the 14th century when it was founded as a settlement by the Wielkopolska princes. Throughout its history, the city experienced a lot of development that resulted in a mix of architecture styles, including Baroque, Rococo, and Art Nouveau, among others.
Ostrow Wielkopolski is an industrial city with a strong emphasis on manufacturing, particularly in the metal and machinery sectors. Nevertheless, the city is also an important cultural and educational center, hosting several higher education institutions, museums, and art galleries.
